Seasonal flowers

Sadly our picking flowers are  just about over now.  The heavy rain at the weekend has taken its toll.  I picked the very last of our sweet peas today and luckily they retain just enough scent  and lingering fragrance to fill a room. It was also a  reminder to sow now for early flowers next year.  The rudbeckias still look great, prairie sun and cherry brandy are still making the flower garden look lovely and quite autumnal with their shades of red, yellow and orange.  So we have lots of tidying up and cutting back to do now in the flower garden  for autumn.  At the end of November we will start getting ready for wreath making, can’t wait……….
